The Ins And Outs of How We Do Business

Can I schedule same-day service?Yes. We do our very best to provide prompt service. Please contact us to ensure we have availability in our schedule for that day.

Can I have the same team every time?Yes, we do our best to send you the same cleaners each time as it's comforting to get familiar with the same cleaner or team in your home or office space. If a cleaner unfortunately falls sick or has an emergency, we contact you ASAP to notify you and discuss alternative options such as rescheduling or sending another wonderful cleaner to fill in - whatever works best for you!

What safety precautions do you take regarding Covid?Our cleaning crew will never show up sick or having had any possible exposure. If someone in your home or office is at high risk of exposure, we ask that you inform us asap before your first cleaning day so we can come fully prepared with protective gear. If client requests it, our crew is trained to wear masks and gloves while onsite. As a mother, I understand how important it is to keep your home sanitary and clean for your loved ones. We want you to always feel safe with us in your home or work setting.

Do I have to provide the cleaning supplies?No need to worry, we've got it all covered! We show up with all the cleaning products and equipment we need to get the job done right! If you prefer we use your specific supplies, products or equipment, please let us know in advance and we are happy to accommodate your preferences!

What should I do before house cleaners show up at my house or office?We ask that you pick up and store any items such as clothes, toys that might interfere with our cleaning. If you have pets, please keep them in an enclosed area where we won't be cleaning for everyone’s safety. It's important our cleaning crew has easy and safe access to all cleaning areas so that we can provide you with a satisfactory experience! If you need help any tidying/organizing items/clothes/toys etc, please let us know in advance so we can include these services in your estimate pricing. Organization is not included and is a service add-on but please note that we are happy to assist if needed!

How often should I use home and office cleaning services?This is dependent entirely on your needs! Some clients highly benefit from weekly, bi-weekly or monthly cleaning services. Feel free to book as often as you need or would like. We highly recommend booking several cleanings in advance to save yourself the time and energy! Our recurring clients love knowing when to expect a fresh, clean home and we hope you will too!

Do I need to be home during my cleaning appointment?The majority of our cleaning services occur in the day when our clients are away at work. Our cleaning professionals are usually entrusted with a key or home code to make things easy for our clients. Some other clients prefer early mornings/evenings or weekends. We are happy to accommodate your preferences. We only ask that for at least the first cleaning that someone be home if possible to do a final walkthrough at the end of service to ensure you are happy with the service!

What does your full house cleaning include?Our cleaning list includes this and more: Clean showers, tubs, toilets, and sinks Clean tile, mirrors, glass and counters Dust and wipe counters Vacuum/Mop all floors, carpets, and stairs Vacuum in between couch cushions Empty house trash and recycling and compost (if any) bins and take to main garbage (see full list under "Services")

Is there anything you don't clean?We do our best to clean as much as we can with the following exceptions: We do not remove or scratch off any paint or glue from any counters or surface areas. We are also unable to provide carpet, rug, curtain and upholstery deep cleaning services at this time. We do not clean exterior windows for the safety of our cleaners unless they are safely accessible from the ground floor without the use of our ladder. Do you clean corporate offices?Yes, many of our clients are small, medium to large offices and corporate offices throughout the SF Bay Area and beyond, where we provide daily, weekly, bi-weekly, event and quarterly deep cleanings. Are your cleaners all background checked?Yes! I invest heavily in ensuring that the cleaners in your home, vacation rental or office fully pass an extensive background check. It gives peace of mind to everyone to know we have wonderful, good people cleaning in your spaces around those you love.

What should I do if I'm not satisfied or want something fixed?By booking our services, you agree to do a final walkthrough with the cleaner same day at the end of cleaning to check everything and ensure you're happy with the service. If anything was accidentally missed by the cleaners or you'd like anything retouched, simply let us know before the cleaner departs the home or office and we will ensure it gets taken care of. If you notice anything after the cleaning, we do charge a $50 return fee so that the cleaner can fix whatever else was noted. To avoid this fee, it is super important to us that you notify us right away before cleaner departs, so we can make it right immediately! Contact us at (415) 340-1458 and we are happy to assist!

Do you offer non-toxic cleaning supplies?Yes! Please inform us asap before your scheduled cleaning so we can ensure to bring these appropriate supplies with us, or if you prefer that we use your own, just let us know. It's important to us that we protect your home, office and loved ones by using the safest products possible. Some clients have severe allergies and prefer bare minimum products such as: baking soda, vinegar, warm water, but others have specific preferences for certain areas in the home. You let us know what works best for you and we will make it happen.

Do your cleaners speak English?Yes. 99% of our cleaners speak English. We do have a few newer cleaners (with many years of experince) that although don't speak English perfectly, are fully capable of understanding your cleaning needs and happy to help. The benefit of booking with Clean Cozy Home is that you can always contact us and we are happy to help should you need additional support, want to provide specific requests or have any questions at all. Do your cleaners wear uniforms?Our company policy is that our cleaners wear what makes them feel most comfortable to do a wonderful job cleaning your home, vacation rental or office. Although uniforms are provided if requested, our priority is that you have a sparkling, clean, tidy home first and foremost.

My cleaner is running a little behind. What do I do?Our arrival time under our terms and conditions indicates that we can arrive within a 2 hour window. This gives cleaners peace of mind that if they run into extra work at their prior cleaning job, or if they come across difficult weather conditions or traffic or hard parking situations, that the client is fully aware and understanding. We always do our very best to arrive early or at minimum on time of your calendar scheduled appointment, but if any of the above conditions should happen we will notify you with an updated ETA (estimated time of arrival). Is it okay if my pet is home during cleaning?Yes! We love pets. We only ask that you please secure them in a safe space where cleaners do not need to access. This protects cleaners and pets. Some pets are especially sensitive to new cleaners in the home, loud noises such as vacuum and we want to ensure your sweet beloved pet is happy and safe. Thanks for your understanding!

Is it okay if my child is home during cleaning?Yes, we understand if your family is home during a cleaning service. In general it's always preferred if the home is empty so the cleaner can efficiently clean but we are happy to work around your loved ones at home if necessary. Please note - under no conditions are we ever to be left responsible or alone with any child under the age of 18 years old. This is for the safety of your child(ren) as we care deeply that they are fully cared for by proper caregivers as the cleaner is only onsite to perform cleaning services. Can I leave a tip? Are they required?Tips are never required, however they are always appreciated for a job well done! If you would like to tip, you can leave cash for the cleaner as that is preferred. The best "tip" we ask for is a 5 star review instead! It would mean so much to us and helps us grow. How often can I book my recurring services?Clean Cozy Home is happy to provide services once a week, every other week, or once a month, depending on your preference and needs. You can also request cleaning services for special events, post construction, as well as move-out and move-in services. You can update or change your cleaning preferences to better fit your budget, schedule and cleaning needs. Simply contact us to update your cleaning needs well in advance of your next cleaning. Do you clean hoarder home situations?If you'd like us to confirm if your home is a hoarder state situation, please email us video/phtos of the interior of all interior areas of the home to info@cleancozyhome.com so we can confirm whether or not we are able to assist.

How experienced are your cleaners?All of Clean Cozy Home cleaners have years of extensive, professional cleaning experience. Some have 5+ years, other have 10+ years experience or longer working in residential, vacation rental, offices, corporate and other industries. Above all, our cleaners want to ensure you are happy! Please never hesitate to inform a cleaner of your specific cleaning requests. We know the first few times with a new cleaner or service requires extra communication. The goal is to eventually know and trust that your cleaner understands your desires and does their very best cleaning job, each and every time!
